An open-wave low pressure trough pushing through southern California Sunday will cause a brief influx of moisture into the Sierra Nevada during the afternoon. Coupled with warm daytime temperatures, the result is a 15 to 20 percent chance for thunderstorms across the Sierra crest. Remain weather-aware if you plan on spending the weekend up in the mountains. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!
