A period of heavy rain is forecast for Saturday afternoon through Monday, May 30th - June 1st. The heaviest rainfall is anticipated across parts of western Montana. where widespread amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected, with up to 3 inches possible along the Divide. Minor flooding is possible in urban and flood-prone areas, along with rising levels on streams and rivers. There are also risks for mudslides and debris flows in steep terrain. Plan ahead by avoiding travel in vulnerable areas and preparing by making sure the rain and runoff has somewhere to go.
